Deputy Director and Anchor, TV Channel "Rossiya" (RTR)
Sergey Brilev is a Russian TV anchor, best known for his exclusive interviews with global movers and shakers, e.g. Medvedev and Obama, Putin and Bush, Blair and Netanyahu, among others. He is also a member of the governing Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy (SVOP-CFDP), a life member of the Russian TV Academy and a full delegate of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
From 1990-93, he interned at Komsomolskaya Pravda Daily, and from 1993-95 was a staff writer with Moscow News Weekly and a contributing author for El Observador Econ?mico (Uruguay) and La Raz?n (Argentina). In 1995, he began work at TV Channel “Rossiya” (a.k.a. RTR) and from 1996-2001 was its London (European) correspondent. Since 2001, he has been presenting evening news and weekly political shows.
Mr Brilev is the author of an acclaimed book entitled “Fidel. Football. Falklands”. He is a graduate of MGIMO and the Institute of Foreign Languages of Montevideo (Uruguay).
