DAY TWO, 09:30-10:45
Russian authorities announced plans to substantially decrease ownership in most companies it currently holds. It poses a set of questions which should be addressed to all the parties involved – Government, investors, state owned companies – as well as to international experts. What is a main rationale for a new wave of Russian privatization: proceeds or decrease of State? How it has changed compared to the privatization of 90s? Does privatization negatively affect reforms/development of natural monopolies? What type of placement the Government will select? Russian and international speakers are invited to discuss these issues and share their experience as sponsors of privatizations which took place over the last 30 years and investors who participated on a sell-side.
