Ukrsotsbank

Ukrsotsbank is the sixth largest Ukrainian bank by assets. It employs nearly 9,000 people and has a nationwide network of over 400 outlets. The bank was founded in 1990 and is currently owned by UniCredit Group, which provided substantial liquidity support during the 2008-09 financial crisis. Ukrsotsbank is a universal banking institution and is active in both the retail and corporate segments. The bank was one of few large banks in the country that managed to stay profitable thanks to the strong operating profitability and having one of the lowest cost/income ratios in the system. Ukrsotsbank is now in the process of merging with UniCredit Ukraine, which could put it in the top five Ukrainian banks by assets.
