RusHydro is Russia’s largest hydro-generating company and the second largest in the world in terms of installed capacity. RusHydro is the leading producer of renewable energy in Russia.

The company’s installed capacity stands at 25.5 GW, including Sayano-Shushensk GES’ (6,400 MW) which is being restored.

As of 1 January, the government held a 57,97% stake in the company, while minority shareholders held 42%.

The company’s stock is traded on the MICEX and RTS stock exchanges. In July 2008, a GDR program was launched, and in August 2008, RusHydro shares were included in the MSCI EM and MSCI Russia indexes, guaranteeing greater share liquidity.
