OJSC Rosneft was established in 1993. Thanks to the successful implementation of its growth strategy, the Company is the leader of Russia’s petroleum industry and ranks among the world’s top publicly traded oil and gas companies. Rosneft is primarily engaged in exploration and production of hydrocarbons, production of oil products and petrochemicals, and marketing its output. It has been included in the Russian Government’s List of Strategic Enterprises and Organizations.
The state holds 75.16% in the Company, while some 15% of shares are in free float.

Rosneft has a vast and high-quality reserves base, with total proved hydrocarbon reserves of 22.3 bln boe. Its annual crude production exceeds 100 mln tonnes and its natural and petroleum gas output is more than 12 bln m3. Rosneft’s refinery throughput amounts to about 50 mln tpy. The Company also operates proprietary crude and oil product export terminals and owns 1,700 service stations in 38 regions of Russia.

The Company’s main strategic priorities are steady growth of oil production, commercialization of gas reserves, refining and marketing development.
