Polyus Gold is Russia’s leading gold producer and one of the world’s largest gold mining companies in terms of market capitalization, mineral reserves base and output. The company’s asset portfolio includes hard-rock and alluvial deposits in Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Magadan, Amur and Sakha (Yakutia) regions. The company produced 1.3 mln oz of gold in 2009.

Polyus Gold shares are traded on the two leading Russian stock exchanges: RTS and MICEX. The company’s ADRs are traded on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and on the OTC market in the US. The company’s shares are included in the calculation of Russian stock indexes RTS, MICEX and АК&M, as well as global stock indexes FTSE (12 indexes, including FTSE Gold Mines), MSCI (three indexes) and Dow Jones (three indexes).
