MDM Bank

MDM Bank is a top-12 bank in Russia and the fourth largest private bank that emerged after the merger of former MDM Bank and URSA Bank in 2009. The bank has wide branch network of 350 outlets and 2,000 ATMs in 12 regions and services around 3 mln retail clients in Russia. MDM Bank has a strong retail franchise (25% of loans) largely due to former URSA Bank’s client base and is looking to increase its share of retail revenues to 50% in the next few years.

The bank’s two main shareholders are Igor Kim (11%) and Sergey Popov (56%), who own the stakes through one company and manage the combined stake jointly. The bank’s common shares are not listed publicly, but it has listed/traded class III preferred shares (7% of capital).
